Open Banking
Open Banking allows Payers to authorize payments directly from their bank account using PSD2-compliant bank APIs.
API value: payment.method = bank_account
Authorization Flow
- The Payer is redirected to Yugo Checkout (or directly to their bank if pre-selected)
- The Payer selects their bank from the list of supported institutions
- The Payer authenticates with their bank (typically via mobile app or SMS)
- The bank authorizes the payment and returns the Payer to the Merchant
tip
You can optionally pre-fetch the list of available banks via the API and pass a bank identifier when creating the Payin Intent. This skips the bank selection step and reduces friction.
